A modern, welcoming refuge featuring a bar area with a wood-burning fireplace and a glass-enclosed dining room with breathtaking views. Outside, a large sunny terrace overlooks the Sellaronda ski slopes and bike trail.
The Burz Refuge is located within the famous Sellaronda circuit, also known as the "four-pass tour." Traditional on the outside and modern on the inside, it offers a youthful, energetic, and dynamic cuisine, rich in unique local dishes, designed to make your Arabba experience authentic and unforgettable.
Easily accessible on skis in the winter, and on foot, by mountain bike, or by chairlift in the summer, the Burz is the perfect place to indulge in a moment of peace and relaxation.
IN WINTER
In winter, the Burz Refuge can only be reached by chairlift, as snowshoeing is not permitted during lift operating hours. The Arabba-Burz chairlift departure point is located in the town of Arabba, just steps from the Tourist Office.
IN SUMMER
In summer, the Burz Refuge can be reached in 5 minutes by the Arabba-Burz chairlift, or on foot, climbing along the forest road that starts next to the chairlift departure point (CAI trail no. 637). This is a 2 km long walk of about 40 minutes, also accessible by mountain bike.

AUTHENTIC AND TRADITIONAL FLAVORS
The Burz Refuge offers cuisine that adds a modern twist to traditional Ladin specialties, showcasing its youthful and dynamic personality. Starting with the highest-quality ingredients, we offer everything from traditional dishes like Casunciei or Piatto Burz to something a little different, like Tegamini di Montagna, delicious dishes perfect for those who want to savor typical mountain flavors in a lighter and less demanding way.
In addition to our magnificent panoramic terrace, you can also dine inside, and during the winter, warm up by the fireplace.
The Burz Refuge is a new structure, built in 2013 with a very specific purpose: to convey the warmth of a mountain hut in a structure that transcends tradition without distorting it. This is precisely where the elegance of our restaurant lies: its ability to be both traditional and modern. The massive wooden beams and the shape of the building itself are reminiscent of Alpine architecture, while the bright windows and unique interior furnishings convey the refinement of modern style.
After all, who said you can't be fancy in the mountains?
HIKING, WALKING, BIKING, AND VIA FERRATA
During the summer, you can reach the Burz Refuge on foot along the road that leads from Arabba to Mount Burz (about 40 minutes), by mountain bike along the same road or by taking the Sellaronda MTB circuit, or by taking the chairlift (5 minutes). During the summer, you can admire the beautiful colors of the mountains: the incredible green of the Arabba meadows contrasting with the blue of the sky, and the rays of the setting sun paint the Dolomites the fiery red of the Enrosadira.
A PARADISE FOR WINTER SPORTS
During the winter, the Burz Refuge is a must-see for skiers on the Sellaronda circuit, and can only be reached by the Burz chairlift. The historic black Burz run and the Avoie run, available in both blue and red variants, descend from the refuge.
We are located within the Arabba - Marmolada ski area, a paradise for lovers of exciting and challenging slopes, the most technical stage of the Giro dei Quattro Passi and one of the most sought-after destinations in the Dolomiti Superski area, especially for those seeking an authentic skiing experience.

I'm the manager and chef of the Burz refuge, originally from Trieste but a mountaineer by choice! I love creating contemporary dishes with influences from tradition, the sea, and the local area.
