The Casa Savoia Refuge (GTA stopover) is located in Terme di Valdieri, in the heart of the spa area, at 1,368 meters above sea level. It is located along the Grande Traversata delle Alpi itinerary and is the starting point for numerous hiking itineraries. In the winter season, the refuge can be reached with snowshoes or ski mountaineering and is the starting point for numerous ski mountaineering trips towards the Valletta or Valasco valleys.

(from Cuneo follow the direction of Borgo San Dalmazzo then Valdieri, Terme di Valdieri) During the winter it can be reached on foot with mountaineering skis or snowshoes along a road of about 5 km for a travel time of about 1.15/1.30 h.
