In the heart of the Julian Prealps Park, MAB UNESCO reserve, a new refuge waiting to be discovered. It is a refuge set in 2 hectares of land where the fauna and flora are truly unique. The refuge is suitable for EVERYONE: accessible and sustainable, for children and families, hikers and pilgrims, climbers and cyclists, motorcyclists and campers. The restaurant offers genuine traditional Friulian dishes in a rustic mountain style and is always open in summer. The refuge hosts events such as the concerts of the MUSICanti summer festival (local singer-songwriter festival) and activities for children and families, sports retreats, birthdays, private parties, school trips and university internships. The Refuge collaborates with the environmentalist naturalistic guides and mid-mountain guides specialized in the area to offer the best experiences to discover the Julian Prealps Natural Park and makes the best contacts available to guarantee special speleological and food and wine visits to discover the Torre Valleys and of Natisone. The layout of the rooms – comfortable dormitories and new private rooms – allows everyone to be satisfied. The structure also has a large room dedicated to lessons and meetings and hosts different types of courses to be held indoors or outdoors.
Read everythingFrom Tarcento (UD) follow towards Alta Val Torre towards Uccea. After passing the town of Pradielis, continue along the SR646 towards Slovenia, once through the tunnel keep the town of Musi on the left, after about 5km by car the Rifugio Pian dei Ciclamini will appear on the left. The refuge has road access and the road is well maintained in both winter and summer, suitable for cars, campers and coaches but also two-wheeled vehicles such as motorbikes and bicycles. The refuge is located 9km from the Slovenian border and can also be reached from Slovenia.

From left: Alvise, Simone (our magnificent manager), Rebecca, Alessandro and Duccio, all young Friulians with a passion for the mountains and nature. We met at high altitude, at the F.lli de Gasperi alpine refuge, managed by Simone for 6 years. This strong and engaging experience united us in the dream of pursuing a new project together: reviving this wonderful valley that we fell in love with at first sight.
