The Conserva Refuge is located in Conserva at 1450 meters above sea level in the municipality of Lauria (PZ) at the foot of the Sirino massif. It is divided into two floors organized for accommodation and refreshment. It has 13 beds with bathroom in each room, dining room and service bathrooms. It is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday. The restaurant uses local products.
Read everythingThe refuge can be reached by car. The road that arrives in front of the structure is viable. From Lauria: To reach the refuge along the SA-RC motorway, exit at Lauria Nord. At the roundabout continue towards Pecorone for around 150m and then turn right towards Monte Sirino for around 16km. From Lagonegro: To reach the refuge along the SA-RC motorway, exit at Lagonegro Sud. At the exit, turn left towards Monte Sirino for about 19 km.
Read everythingConserva di Lauria is a small ski resort located on the eastern slope of Monte Sirino, one of the most evocative landscapes of the Southern Apennines, in the Lucano Val d'Agri Lagonegrese Apennine National Park. The ski lifts in the Conserva di Lauria 2 ski area: the Conserva 2 di Lauria ski lift is quite short, ideal for beginners and intermediates. The limited altitude differences (150 metres, from 1410 to 1560 metres) make the Conserva di Lauria station a suitable place to take your first steps on the snow and to spend a few hours relaxing in a still intact natural context of the Lucanian Apennines. The Sirino massif, with its peaks exceeding 2000 meters above sea level, is a destination for excursions, ski mountaineering, snowshoeing and Nordic walking. Among the major peaks Monte Papa (2005 m), Cima De Lorenzo (2004 m), Timpa Scazzariddo (1930 m) and Monte Sirino (1907 m), all reachable on foot starting from the Conserva Hut.
