The Mönchsjochhütte is located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Jungfrau Aletsch, at the origins of the great Aletsch glacier. The Mönchsjochhütte is the highest guarded refuge, which stands entirely on Swiss soil. The hut is not accessible only to climbers ... A trip to the famous Jungfraujoch can be combined well with an excursion to the Mönchsjochhütte. The path leads to the glaciers, but this is taken care of daily with a snow groomer. It is highly recommended to wear appropriate footwear and appropriate clothing against the wind and cold.
