Located at 1,938m, Rifugio Vieux Crest dominates Champoluc and the Val d'Ayas. The refuge is located in the historic Walser village of Crest, dating back to 1600. Born from the skilful restoration of some ancient homes inherited from his great grandfather, today it is a welcoming home where you can stay in a timeless atmosphere immersed in nature and silence. Open in both summer and winter (Monterosaski ski area), it is easily reachable from Champoluc on foot (50 min forest path) or by cable car. It is a stopping place on the Alta Via number 1 and a Refuge on the Tour des Six circuit.

HI! Together with my family we manage the Vieux Crest, a refuge located above Champoluc, in Val d'Ayas. The refuge is the result of the renovation of my great-grandfather's ancient Walser rascard. We have been dealing with hospitality for years and the refuge is our real home!
