The Casel Sora L'Sass - G. Angelini refuge is located in a very suggestive environment, on the edge of a clearing on the wooded plateau of the imposing Spiz di Mezzodì, at the gates of the Natural Park of the Belluno Dolomites. The refuge, an intimate and welcoming building, is an excellent base for simple day trips from Forno di Zoldo, mountaineering itineraries, rock routes, trekking from refuge to refuge. It is the destination of the first stage of the Zoldano ring, a 6-8 day itinerary that surrounds the Val di Zoldo. There are 4 main accesses: two that allow you to climb from the village in 1.30-2 hours along simple paths, a longer one, which constitutes the first stage of the Zoldano ring, and a fun via ferrata, ideal for first approaches. Deer, cartwheels, chamois and other small animals, as well as rare species of orchids, can easily be spotted in the surrounding area thanks to the quiet that surrounds this unexplored corner of the Dolomites. The cuisine reflects local traditions and the small size of the room allows the managers to pay particular attention to the needs of individual customers. During the summer, events are organized in harmony with the tranquility of the place, which offer new patrons the opportunity to spend a relaxing weekend and explore a mountain group that deserves to be known and appreciated.
