How to get

The Capanna Piz Fassa refuge is located on the route of the Alta Via Alpina n°4, a mountaineering-hiking itinerary that winds through the Alps and into the heart of the Dolomites. A 3,000 m. easy, but always to be tackled with respect for altitude and weather!
Piz Boé is considered the "easiest" 3,000 meter climb in the Dolomites. This means that everyone can have the opportunity to climb the normal route, even children and the elderly. In fact, this has been equipped at all the most challenging points to facilitate the ascent and reduce the risk of accidents to a minimum.
For those who want to try their hand at climbing up the Ferrata Cesare Piazzetta, it is recommended, if you do not already have a certain level of experience, to be accompanied by an alpine guide.
The most convenient route to get there is from the Pordoi Pass with a cable car and then with a path up to the top which takes about 1 hour.
Other itineraries: from Sella pass, Pian Schiavaneis, Gardena pass, Val Mesdì, Campolongo pass.
Via Ferrata: From the Pordoi Pass climbing the “Cesare Piazzetta” via ferrata, one of the most intense and challenging in the Dolomites, the start of which can be reached by following the path that starts from the Pordoi Pass Ossuary; after almost 500 meters of altitude difference (on average 2-3 hours of climbing) it comes out on the last stretch of path no. 638 which leads to our refuge. You need specific equipment and a lot of practice of this type of demanding aided route.
