The Edelweiss refuge is located above the village of Colfosco in Alta Badia, in the middle of the Stella Alpina Valley, at the foot of Sassongher and Mount Ćiampać in a particularly panoramic and sunny position.
In addition to hospitality, cordiality, friendliness and a breathtaking view that sweeps from the Sella Group in the foreground, to the Marmolada and Mount Civetta in the distance, you will find a restaurant and pizzeria with a wide variety of tasty dishes and fragrant pizzas. You can also take advantage of the attached Apres Ski and have fun at our parties and events that we organize weekly.
The hut is ideally located as a refreshment point during a nice hike or to take a break during a day on skis - during your ski trip on the Sellaronda do not hesitate to visit us at our Edelweiss hut.
THE STÜA RESTAURANT
In the Ladin language, the "stüa" is the intimate and warm place that constitutes the true heart of a home, where the family gathers and warms up to the heat from the stove.
Our gourmet restaurant "La Stüa" is inspired by it, where the typical atmosphere of the rustic mountain houses of yesteryear is evoked.
In our cozy and comfortable Ladin-style stube you can savor excellent dishes inspired by the most genuine local tradition, Mediterranean and express cuisine, accompanied by a good wine that you can choose from our extensive list.
EVENINGS WITH THE SNOW CAT
If you want to spend an evening a little different from the others, during the winter we organize weekly dinners in our refuge. We will come and pick you up with the snowcat at the Colfosco bridge that overlooks the main road in the town center.
It is a very special atmosphere that one breathes during these evenings in the refuge; you can savor in company the specialties of our rich cuisine in a traditional Ladin environment with the flavor of times gone by.
At the end of the evening you will be taken back to Colfosco.

The Edelweiss Refuge can be reached with a short walk of about 45 minutes from the center of Colfosco. At the parking lot, for those who really don't want to or can't, there is a shuttle that takes you to the Refuge and continues to the Col Pradat Refuge with an excellent panoramic position about 45/60 minutes on foot from the Edelweiss Refuge. The refuge is located in a wonderful position at the foot of Sassongher, the mountain symbol of the area. Very easy excursion and also suitable for children who can have fun on the meadows with the animals available. It is quite easy to observe the marmots who have their den just a few minutes from the Refuge - absolutely not to be missed, for those who spend their holidays in the area.
Tip: from the car park, take the bus lines between Val Badia and Val Gardena and get off at Passo Gardena, then walk to the Edelweiss Refuge in about 75/90 minutes with a splendid view of the Sella Massif cut by Valsetus and Val di Mezdì where hikers can be seen climbing or descending from the Pisciadù Refuge (Sella Massif) or traversing the Sella Massif - From the Pisciadù Refuge to the Maria Refuge - Pordoi Pass and vice versa.
San Cassiano, appreciated and renowned tourist destination especially by ski lovers, is part of the Dolomiti Superski, one of the largest ski areas in the world.
