Small refuge inside the Etna Park at an altitude of 1350m. The refuge, made of lava stone, was born inside the Monte Manfrè forest in an extinct crater characterized by chestnut groves, hazelnut trees and oaks. The CAI path n.786 runs alongside the refuge which starts from the town of Belpasso and connects to the Altomontana track on the southern side of Etna. The structure has a capacity of 6 beds that can be booked individually or by small groups of hikers with the exclusivity of the entire managed refuge. Outside there is an area equipped with barbecue and tables where served picnics are organised, upon reservation. The refuge is open during the summer season every weekend and on holidays by reservation only.
